The Latest in Support Issues and important information you need to know

As of 7/20/06, we have identified a problem with TFR processing which causes NAVAir to shut down every 12 minutes. Until we diagnose and fix the problem, please turn off TFR (Temporary Flight Restriction) processing in the WX CTRL menu per the instructions below. XM Satelite Radio is aware of this problem with the weather broadcast and is working to repair this problem with the TFR processing.

We apologize for the inconvenience, and will advise you of a fix as soon as it is available.

Turning off TFR Processing in XM CTRL;

  • Press Menu on NAVAirEFBs or B2 on PDAs to invoke the main menu
  • Select WX and WX CTRL
  • Select the Products tab and scroll down to TFRs
  • Uncheck TFRs and click on OK
  • Exit NAVAir, restart it and make sure TFRs are still unchecked.

I would have been uncomfortable doing the flight both ways without this system.
