Intelligent layout and display management

We use 100 percent of the screen all the time to display the map, with flight and navigation status details are provided on transparent overlays.  Menus are translucent, so even when you bring them up,  they don't interfere with your situational awareness.  And, the menu buttons are large enough for you to easily tap the one you want with your finger or your stylus.

Richly featured map with clear detail

Our maps are designed to provide the highest level of detail so that you can orient yourself visually to the ground the same way you would with a sectional chart.  The shapes of coastlines, bodies of water and urban areas are displayed in painstaking detail. Airspace and Special Use Area boundaries, airports and VORs all look they way they should.

Distance sensitive display

While most other systems allow you to turn features on or off, NAVAir allows you to see runway detail and 0-10 miles, all airports at 25-50 miles and  major airports only  at 100 miles and more.  You decide what detail you want to see and when you want to see it.  You specify whether you see navigation aids, airspaces, airports, geographic details and manmade features at any zoom range.  Think of it as intelligent de-clutter. Fly with a map configured to your tastes and preferences, not ours.

Designed for pilot workflow - and stylus free!

We're professional pilots, so we know how pilots use these features and functions. Your primary business is flying the airplane, so NAVAir gives you quick, comfortable access to all of the functions you need in flight. In one step, not two or three.  And NAVair is designed for stylus free operation, since we know that pecking at tiny icons on the screen with your fingers or the stylus is just a distraction that you don't need.
