Pilot Reports

By the way - I flew through that weather system on Friday. There was a lot of nervous chatter on the radio with the turbulence and thunderstorms associated with the front. It became obvious to me that ATC's radar was not cutting it when I got a vector right into a big red cell. I told them updated radar downloads

and could I navigate on my own? Permission was granted and I picked my way through it without incident and not so much as even moderate turbulance.

ATC asked me for PIREPS and then started vectoring aircraft in my path. It was very cool. I was completely in the soup for over an hour, just to duck out on the other end on the friendly side of an ILS.

Pilot Reports

Thanks again for your help while enroute the other day.

Matt did great as usual. I was able to update the registration in the air and it worked well from then on. I was thankful that the weather was VFR though. Going to Oklahoma this time of year can be a hairy ordeal.  You and the company are still the greatest.  Can't wait to get the traffic display on my PDA though.
