"The AirGator team was present at NBAA 2006 in Booth #1712 and the booth was hoppin' the entire day. Following recognition by NBAA Convention News on page 125 of it's October 17th edition and the article in Aero-News-Network , Over 90 serious customers graced the booth as EFB hunting became a sport at NBAA. From TAG Aviation to the Home Depot flight department, AirGator's NAVAir products became the 'hot-topic' as representatives clamoured for attention at Booth 1712. We invite all that are in the Orlando area to come by the NBAA show at the Orange County Convention Center and visit us at Booth 1712. We'll be there until Friday, Oct 19th at 4 PM. If you need a pass, contact us by cell phone, 774-212-2265.
Day 2 & 3
"AirGator continued to be inundated with eager business aviation customers during day 2 and 3 of the 2006 NBAA in Orlando, FL. A total of over 160 pilots and commercial operators provided their contact information for followup with many of these potential customers representing the most recognizable business jet operators in the world.
The foot traffic on the floor was above average, but the busyness at Booth #1712 was nonstop of those ogling the tablet electronic flight bags (EFB) on display. "We have never sold systems at NBAA before, but at this show we took orders for several. We expect a positive sales rate following the show as well." said Amir Tirosh, the President of AirGator, Inc. "This show proves that our systems meet the need of the professional pilot and that our displays, especially the NAVPad, enhance the cockpit productivity expectation of todays business pilot."
What distinguishes the NAVPad from other systems on display at NBAA is the 'toughened' design of the tablet PC specifically requested by AirGator from the tablet manufacturer. The NAVAir NAVPad had the touch-screen face hardened and the internal workings of the device shored-up for use by todays pilot. The traditional hard drive is available, but AirGator went one-step further and provides a solid state hard drive with up to 16 GB 's of memory compared to the maximum of 4 available to other EFB providers. Combined with the Bluetooth wireless GPS and XM WX weather this device now becomes the total solution for any pilot's EFB functions such as navigation planning with weather overlays, the use of approach charts provided by NOS or Jeppesen and the integration of any other Windows based performance, weight and balance program, and corporate operational instructions as well as a personal productivity platform with WiFi capability that is 'Hotel ready' when transported outside of the cockpit.
AirGator can be contacted through their website at www.airgator.com, email at
or by calling 914-666-5656."
Thanks again for your help while enroute the other day. Matt did great as usual. I was able to update the registration in the air and it worked well from then on. I was thankful that the weather was VFR though. Going to Oklahoma this time of year can be a hairy ordeal. You and the company are still the greatest. Can't wait to get the traffic display on my PDA though.
